There are many things to consider when it comes to deciding if a city is welcome for cyclists. Security, connection to urban infrastructure, and accessibility of bike lanes are all essential considerations. Recreational areas also cater to recreational cyclists, such as parks and cycle paths.

The research team at Tower Electric Bikes set out to discover both the most bike-friendly cities in the U.S. and the least bike-friendly cities. We evaluated many important metrics to draw our conclusion, including the percentage of the workforce using a bicycle to commute, the percentage of the population riding recreational bikes, the rate of cyclist fatality, and the cycling connectivity of the cycling connection
