Some passports afford more rights than others to their bearers. Japan was once again named the country with the most strong passport in the world by the Henley Passport Index on Tuesday. The new addition to the travel list came in 2019: Brazil has since provided visa-free entry to Japanese residents, meaning Japanese passport holders have visa-free access to an unprecedented 191 countries or visa-on-arrival access. With 190 destinations, another Asian country, Singapore, is in second position. With visa-free travel to 189 jurisdictions, South Korea and Germany follow. The following passports are French, Finnish, Luxembourg and Italian, with entry to 188 countries without a pre-arranged visa.
