According to a recent study from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, global warming has led to 2020 being linked with 2016 as the hottest year ever reported by scientists. The study shows evidence that has become very normal in recent decades, with temperatures rising from the average of the 20th century to higher and higher. A look at the data on temperature rises over the last decade shows that the rate of rise seems to be increasing.

According to NOAA data collected by Bloomberg, as compared to the 20th century average, the global temperature average has risen by 0.82 degrees Celsius. However, the rate of increase has increased to approximately 0.18 degrees Celsius each day.
