They may be small, but with an open mind, tiny homes have a lot to give to the right individual. Tiny homes also appealed to adventurous homeowners, property owners of investment properties and tourists searching for a cosier and easier lifestyle or holiday.

And while the micro home movement isn't really recent, after COVID-19, many have put tiny homes on their radar. These dwellings have seen a recent boom in popularity, whether it's a weekend break from city life, or even a tiny backyard workplace.

We surveyed 2,000 Americans around the country to find out how willing they would be to live in a small home and what facilities they would like to have in a tiny home to get more insight into tiny living. To evaluate where tiny homes are most common around the world, we also analysed Google search volume.
