Many researchers and experts across the globe believe that a safe, reliable and affordable vaccine against COVID-19 is still months away. Even, that doesn't stop politicians from bullying vaccine producers and spreading disinformation across social media and the digital domain. New research reveals how the public is becoming more wary of a proposed vaccine and how this scepticism is being intensified in the country's black communities.
According to a joint Kaiser Family Foundation and The Undefeated poll, 49 percent of Black respondents said they either definitely won't get a COVID-19 vaccine or certainly won't, even though it was considered safe by scientists and given free of charge. Compared to Hispanic and white respondents, that's a significant difference, with 37 percent and 33 percent , respectively, saying they possibly or definitely won't take the vaccine.
