The successful leap for mankind made by 1960 's space pioneers set a course for another, much bigger leap that astronauts will be about making in the next decade. We are now planning for a trip that was considered feasible only in books and films about sci-fi-a journey to Mars.
As part of their plans for Mars, NASA is conducting analyses on all the stuff to expect in space aboard the International Space Station. One of the stars of the experiment was an astronaut who recently returned to Earth after 340 days spent on ISS.
