After the nuclear catastrophe in Japan in Fukushima in 2011, the most serious nuclear incident since Chernobyl, several nations have reiterated their aim to wean off the energy source.
But that sentiment is anything but universal — nuclear power is still ramping up in many other regions of the world, and it is expected to be a key source of energy for decades to come.
