If you are a parent, while at school, you may be worried about your child catching flu (influenza) or other diseases. This concern is not unwarranted; in 2018, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) found that children are the most likely age group to become diagnosed with flu.
As a virus, each year the flu has a history of causing significant levels of doctor visits, hospitalizations and deaths. However, there is one preventive action you can take to drastically reduce the risk of your child being infected with flu, and the CDC fully supports it: get your child a flu vaccine.
