Road traffic accident (RTA) can happen in many different ways. The most extreme, as you would expect, is a traffic accident in which one vehicle collides (or more) with another. Nonetheless, RTAs may include incidents involving pedestrians, motorcycles, and bicycles, as well as circumstances where an incident occurred due to a fault in the road or driver's vehicle.
Though they are a regular phenomenon up and down the country, they may fluctuate in severity— from a minor bump in traffic to a serious accident and, in the worst situations, a fatality. In general, we prefer to put them in three types of seriousness when looking at RTAs:' slight' or mild injury,'' serious' hospitalization, and fatality where one or more people are killed in the crash.
