While London is a major center for finance, business and technology, it is also becoming well-known for a less positive development style. Globally, cybercrime is on the rise, but there are few towns where this new type of danger is felt more strongly than London. According to Action Fraud, a task force run by the City of London police, between April and September 2018, victims of cybercrime were estimated to have lost about £ 34.6 million.
Below is a brand new infographic from a London-based IT support firm, EC-MSP, that shows the threat of cybercrime to the UK's capital. In addition to demonstrating the severity of the issue and the various forms of cyberattack, the graphic also focuses on what organizations and individuals should do to protect themselves by using password managers, upgrading operating systems and software on a regular basis, and backups of essential data records.
