Between 2005 and 2017, the number of Americans working remotely increased by 159 per cent. By early 2020, there will be more than 4 million people working from home. Now that COVID-19 is officially a pandemic and countries around the world encourage social isolation and self-reliance, there will be more people working from home than ever before.
As more states need shelter-in-place steps to tackle the epidemic, COVID-19 people have, out of necessity, started working remotely. The Internet is helping all of us, with a few improvements, to continue business as usual with more than 4 million people working from home.
