The training program Direct Electronic Medical Records aims to educate students to understand Electronic Health Record software to work in different administrative roles within the healthcare field. The Electronic Medical Records program offers balance of the theory and practice along with hands-on learning throughout the course. Students are accepted into the McKesson Research Partner EHR program.
The Electronic Medical Records training program will introduce students to the role of healthcare professionals using EHR, and will give students the opportunity to work through the system and understand basic software functions. The course will also cover topics such as HIPPA, Patient Rights, ICD10 and CPT4 coding, auditing of medical charts and the impact Electronic Medical Records has on the job responsibilities of a medical office.
