There are hundreds of summer camps out there for kids but let's face it, they are not all equal. Some camps concentrate on a specific sport or activity, while others focus on encouraging spiritual awareness or education. Some are suitable for young people while others are tweens or teenagers. Nevertheless, one thing we know is that no matter who created the camp for or why it was launched, the best summer camp will ever have the best activity!
If our kids choose their own camp or we parents choose the one that suits them, our kids ultimately just care about one thing: having fun. Whether a kid will have fun at any specific summer camp is involved in many variables, don't get us wrong. Looking back, those were our favorite summer camps, where we made amazing friendships and sang around the campfire. But those connections were originally created by coming together every day to participate in new and exciting activities. A better way to meet new people than to learn archery or canoeing with them first!
