Dread it and run from it, Error 404 pages will still pop up on your site at one point or another, and for various reasons. This is difficult to avoid, especially for websites where content changes or is constantly being updated. When a website undergoes a major overhaul and the layout of the URLs is changed, it is also common to see these pages.
The "404 Error" message is a server answer code when a web browser attempts to open a website which the server was unable to find. Yet not all 404 pages do damage to your website. This technology can in fact be helpful in troubleshooting issues.
