75 per cent of Americans have changed their diet to be safer over the last decade. And while fad diets including Paleo, Whole30, Ketogenic and Mediterranean have been among the most common a new decade is already promising a rise in plant-based dietitians.
43 million Americans are already eating plant-based alternatives on a regular basis and with restaurants such as Red Robin, Subway and Burger King introducing their own plant-based foods the availability should be even more encouraging.
Many are still confused about how plant-based diets vary from vegan or vegetarian diets, and it varies in a few respects while they are similar. Putting the diet simply means consuming whole foods that are minimally processed, increasing the consumption of fruit and vegetables, and restricting or removing meat, eggs, and dairy.
