The Magnavox Odyssey, which hit stores back in 1972, was the first commercially produced video game console. Since then, in family lounges there have been centuries of machines and thousands of games.

This chart offers a 45-year snapshot. The following chart is a grace of the Fanetic Games site. When Ralph h. baer introduced the Magnavox Odyssey into the world, the biggest landmarks of console gaming were broken down.
