Many individuals are afraid they will fail, and this is the primary reason why they will not succeed. However, the most successful and rich people had serious setbacks and failures before they became the people they are today and all of them, to some extent, failed before. Well, there is a kind of learning curve, which impacts virtually any company.
In fact, the retail company was no different for Rowland Macy. The reality he decided to open a shop in a top place, rather than in places where there was little demand, was likely his success. What he did. The reality is, Mr. Macy's eyes were open to his first failures and he learnt sufficient lessons to be unable to create the same errors later in his life.
What we see is that if you feel like achievement is so far away, it is not wise to stop attempting. Simply stay focused, work hard and trust yourself a little. Generally speaking, you won't succeed unless you have failed before and learn to cope with it better as it's just an event.
