An American Education 50 Years Ago vs Today

Whether it's improving your economic health or staying mentally sharp, there are several advantages to going back to college at age 50 or later seeing post-secondary education. Many people, however, are unaware of the studies showing the advantages of obtaining a degree in higher education.

Several studies show that college graduates not only tend to live longer, but they can also share with their families and those nearest to them extra advantages of higher education. The life expectancy for males with a bachelor's degree was 12.9 years greater than those with less education, according to a research released in Health Affairs. For females, the bachelor's life expectancy was 10.4 years greater than those without a degree.
