The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) works in humans the same way as in dogs, cats and other livestock. In fact, there is an endocannabinoid system in all mammals. This involves, to name a few, horses, rabbits, monkeys, dolphins and elephants. There is presently a enormous amount of studies being conducted around the globe to find out how precisely the ECS could be used to treat distinct chronic diseases.
The endocannabinoid system in dogs is component of what maintains the body's natural equilibrium and is generally stimulated by in-house endocannabinoids. However, internal cannabinoids, including Cannabidiol (CBD), which is the non-psychoactive compound found in cannabis sativa, can also stimulate the endocannabinoid system. CBD's external stimulus causes some great thrill in today's medical globe.
