Most printer owners and toner cartridge customers have seen the names "genuine," "initial," "OEM," "compatible," "generic," "refilled," ect. being used to define toners sold on the Internet. However, most of them are not entirely clear about what each of these descriptions actually means. They understand that genuine / OEM / original toners are priced higher than compatible / generic and rem.
There are three major kinds of toner cartridges-real OEM, compatible / generic, and reprocessed / refilled. There are distinct strengths and weaknesses in each type of toner cartridge. Before we dive into each type of toner cartridge's particular strengths and weaknesses, the following is a short description of real OEM, compatible and remanufactured toner cartridges.
