It occurs every now and then-child wildlife is found by individuals, all by themselves. For a multitude of reasons, this can occur with a raccoon. The mother raccoon may have died, and the very rough and determined young may set out alone. Or maybe a mother raccoon moved from a den to a fresh den and had to call for a judgment to leave one behind-that's happening. Or, the raccoon is probably not an orphan at all. Mom is just sleeping or collecting food somewhere, and the young walked away. Mom's still going to discover it. In your position, here's what you should do.
