Bitcoin has produced a miraculous recovery after 15 months of losses and stagnation — increasing more than 150% from its smallest level in December 2018. In its heyday, in early December 2017, Bitcoin had exceeded $10,000 before briefly crossing the $20,000 mark on December 17 for a single day.
The digital currency fell back to Earth one year later, falling below $3,200. Bitcoin is back on the upswing now that the dust of that wild speculative frenzy has settled. What could be the cause of the latest growth surge?
